From sound effects to sound mixing, composer, director and writer, Roy Finch has seen the film industry from a number of various roles. He began his career at American Zoetrope, Francis Ford Coppola’s production company, working on such films “The Secret Garden” and “Dracula”. His credits also include scoring music for film and television as well as a directorial debut in 2003 for his feature film Wake which earned him the “Best Director’s” award at the Queens International Film Festival.
Finch has taught filmmaking at a number of schools and enjoys “inspiring young filmmakers.”
Andrés de la Torre
Born and raised in Spain, Andrés began his career as a TV editor and scoring music for independent films and advertising. His music earned international recognition in 2010 with a Jerry Goldsmith Film Music Award for Best Soundtrack for the documentary Disney: Through the Looking Glass.
Andrés moved to California in 2010 to pursue a career in post-production. As an editor, he had the opportunity to work on films such as Knight of Cups and To The Wonder, assisting director Terrence Malick’s editorial team; as a Sound Designer, Andrés has a growing list of narrative and documentary credits, which includes the cutting-edge virtual reality series Defrost by director Randal Kleiser where he and his team collaborated with Dolby pioneering the Dolby Atmos technology in the Virtual Reality format.
Andrés teaches aspiring filmmakers at The Los Angeles Film School and is a part-time lecturer at Chapman University.
