After living in multiple countries throughout her life, she’s become incredibly passionate about social issues such as climate change, feminist issues, and the Black Lives Matter movement. As a woman of color, she uses the power of her words to increase the visibility of some of society’s most pressing issues.

Mariajose de Jesús Castillo Cervantes is 20 years old from Cancun, México and is currently studying law. She strongly believes that by informing people worldwide of the human rights violations that marginalized groups suffer, society will come closer to eradicating the challenges and sufferings they have to endure.

Renata Daou is 21 years old from Amazonas, Brazil, and currently studies international politics and journalism at Penn State University. She has a passion for advocating for the rights of others, with a particular focus on gender and racial equity.
