The New Internationalist is an independent not-for-profit publishing cooperative. Our mission is to report on issues of world poverty and inequality, to focus attention on the unjust relationship between the powerful and the powerless worldwide, to debate and campaign for the radical changes necessary if the basic needs of all are to be met.
The New Internationalist publishes informative, timely current affairs titles and popular reference, complemented by world food, photography, and gift books. Our first season with Consortium coincides with the re-launch of the popular No-Nonsense Guides, a series of concise and readable introductions to the issues that dominate our globalized world.
The company was established in 1973 with the founding of the New Internationalist magazine, a monthly with a current worldwide circulation of seventy thousand. We offer an alternative and independent view to the mainstream media, making global issues more accessible and bringing a greater understanding of the majority world.
