A delightful coloring book by emerging illustrator Alice Bowsher. An orange line runs through the book. It starts off as a tightrope and then turns into a washing line, a table, a road, etc., while circus animals, crazy garments, and unusual vehicles dance upon it in Alice's bold brushstroke.
Every other page is gatefolded, so that each spread stretches over three pages. When the gatefold is closed, the concept of the previous spread meets the concept of the next, bringing a level of wit into play.
Saddle-stitched, with an elastic band wrapping around, this is a gorgeous gift book.
Follow the line from start to finish, then colour in the illustrations. The Line: A Colouring Book is a surprisingly simple, yet enticing book@kids-bookreviewThis book from Cicada Books is a wonderful activity book to get your child/ children ready for a new baby. The illustrations by Lie Dirkx are bold and fun and encompass many topics around the idea of babies – the new baby, animal babies to what were you like when you were a baby.@boudesignblog
The New Baby is an adorable activity paperback created to help children make sense of what it means to become a sibling. With humorous and colourful illustrations, children can doodle, colour in and create. While the art is in play, little minds can begin to think about the ways in which life will be different once baby arrives, and about the roles of family members.
