About the Book

Reliable research tells us that people terminate pregnancies for many reasons: Because childcare is prohibitively expensive. Because another baby will complicate caring for their existing children. Because they are not able or willing to become mothers. But the stigma surrounding abortion keeps most women silent. Now, thirty writers share stories of their own abortions in this challenging, moving, vital collection.

About the Book

Thirty writers break the taboo of discussing their abortion experiences in this collection of personal essays.
